That would be my recomendation also. Both the Kubota 3030 and the CK 30 would easily run a 72" RFM.

Ags on the rear, ribbed on the front.

( 4000+ lb. tractor is a full 1000 lbs. heavier than the CK30. )
A point not lost me .... I was only trying to illustrate the concept - that a heavier unit will be harder on a lawn.

The CK30 may well be entirely fine for his anticpated use.

Thanks rswyan. I posted a question about the weight and lawn in the Kioti forum and got some great feedback.

Mavrik did you get the chance to play with both tractors.. If so, which seat you felt more comfortable in.. I tried both models and for me, both tractors are good, therefore making the decision even harder to make, and I would make my decision base on which tractor I felt more at ease to operate... I know this may be off your original question about price, but just thought of mentioning it..cag

The only seat I didn't like was the Kubota BX23. The B3030, CK20, and CK30 all felt very good to ride on. The CK30 had a noticably smoother ride than the CK20 over the same terrain(IMHO).

( I do disagree with you that the two tractors are totally different types of tractors and that comparing them is not appropriate. They are very similar in size, features, and capabilities and for someone looking for a 30 HP tractor they both are certainly worth consideration.
)

Well, like I said as an owner of a Ck30 I will disagree with you, I would bet that a b3030 with a mmm would run circles around my ck30 and mine will do heavy tasks much quicker than the bota, so like was stated by someone else, same in hp and maybe some pto driven attachments only. That being said, I can't comment on the price of the b3030 but my ck30hst was 15,000 and i think 7,400 for a backhoe and rfm seems a little high.

Pretty tight turning radius on the Kioti.

Hard to believe the tractor that weighs 1800#
can lift almost that on the 3 point????? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Not to get into a debate over differences, but that weight and turning radius differences make huge differences in tractor capabilities and uses. Much more so than saying they are both 30 hp and have near same dimensions. Try cutting around lots of landscape with my Kioti's turning radius and you will soon see that this is not the ideal machine for the job. I am not traying to sway your mind either way, as I have mentioned, I wouldn't trade my Kioit for the Kubota but, don't think they are similar just because size and HP make it seem so.

I'd say those two numbers are reversed.
