CK30HST HOUR METER QUESTION MAY BE ANSWERED???

/forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif I have noticed different posts about how the hour meter works on the ck30. I was glancing thru my owner manual and came accros this. It said that time is calculated based on an average of 2200 RPMS. Less RPMS and time runs slower and More it runs faster. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Your interpretation of the manual you have is correct....however.... there is a more current manual with an updated entry for the hour meter.

The latest revision from page 5-23 (provided by KJ) reads:

<font color="blue"> The hour-meter indicates, in five digits, the hours that the tractor has been operated. Records the hour, and portions of the hours that the tractor has been operated while the engine is running. Its operation is not based on engine RPM, but is electrically determined

As Don mentioned, that older manual is a misprint, actually just taken from the manual of another model. The CK30 meter is digital, not analog.
