CK35 Kioti

Did everyone miss that the subject is the CK series and that's what I based my comment on.

The DK is a horse of a different color.

Come on guys, he was talking about the CK series machines, not any of the others.

I agree the CK series are not any standouts in the lift capacity realm, but he did say "Kioti". :) It is all just in fun anyway... no malice intended.

A local dealer has a leftover 2012, CK35, this is an e-mailed offer to me so I am not sure what equipment is on it yet.
Was wondering what people thought of the CK35 ?
Does it have any problems ?

I have 10 acres and it will be used for landscaping, road work using both the FEL and backhoe along with a 60" box blade.

At this time I am using an SC2450, which I found does not have a lot of lifting power. This tractor is working ok but I was thinking something a little larger.

I am really thinking on a Yanmar 424 or the Mahindra Max 28XL but this one just cropped up so I thought I would ask for your help. The Ck35 appear to be close to the same tractor as the 424 but the Max28 has it over both on the FEL lift cap.

Thanks for any options.

With the amount of land you mentioned I would go with a DK 40, The BH on the DK has more power and will dig to eight ft. When looking for a box scraper you want the heaviest one you can get, A 72" BS has more weight for pushing and for pulling.
I have the DK 40 shuttle with the backhoe It does anything I ask it to and more with plenty of power to spare.

The CK35 is much more tractor than the Mahindra Max 28XL. The CK weighs in with out loader at 3,151 lbs. and the Max weighs in at 1819. Yanmar does not even give the weight of the 424 on their website. I was a diehard Yanmar man (old Yanmars) until I got to looking at weights and real metal. In the smaller tractors, Kioti is kicking butt. Just for the record, my little CK20s weighs in at 2100 lbs without loader. It is built like a little tank. As far as the lifting capacities, the Mahindra Max 28XL boasts a 1402 lbs lifting capacity and again Yanmar does not publish its lifting capacity. My little tractor CK20S lifts a little over 1000 lbs, and it has been great for around my small farm. I use it for every thing. The one time I did need a larger tractor, I borrowed my friends big 65 hp green tractor with loader. He thought bigger was better also, and now he regrets getting it. He is always borrowing mine to do small jobs his tractor can't get into.

The CK35 is a perfect size tractor for 10 acres. I hope you find what you are looking for.

The CK35 is more comparable to the Mahindra 3616, also a great machine.

Check it out.

I have a 2014 CK 35 HST. Yes, sometimes I used to wish the loader was stronger. However I have come to realize that over 1155 lbs in the loader bucket isn't the smartest thing in this size tractor. More lift capacity means more stress on the front axle and other components. The loader is plenty strong to do most tasks. If it isn't, take a smaller bite, or a different method. I feel like the limits of the loader may reduce breakage over the long haul. Just my $0.02

Boy I agree with you worthb, I can't say enough good things about my ck35. I had a Kubota L3200. I just hated it. I wish the loader was stronger, but like you say it's designed for the tractor and is correct.

Another thumbs up here. I have similar acreage and my CK35 has done everything I've asked of it except lift a large load of feed out of my pickup. I ended up having to skid it down a ramp, which wasn't so bad. I use it to mow ~3.5 acres of pasture with a 6' rotary mower, snow blow a large driveway and around the shop with a 6' dual stage 3-point blower, logging, putting in and maintaining our .5 acre garden, etc. Just hitting 100 hours and I am very pleased with the purchase. I am currently using it with a 6' box blade to level an area for a 20x72 high tunnel (green house). I don't hesitate to recommend it to anyone that is interested in a compact utility tractor.
