There are different grades of Lubriplate. The really thick stuff, that is required on some aircraft props and parts is MUCH thicker than regular Lube or even most classes of Lubriplate. It is harder to come by, and pricier, but given how well it performs, and is required by the FAA in certain usages, it might be worth the money. The Lubriplate listed might be good enough for the job at hand.
105 Luberiplate is what I have used in old out board motor gear cases. I say bite the bullet and put the right lube into the gear case and know you did the job right.
