Clean tractor - How often?

I waxed my Massey as soon as it was delivered, and since then I blow it off with the leaf blower after every use. This leaves it pretty clean. At the end of the season I'll likely wash and wax again after I mow for the last time. I don't like to spray it with water any more than necessary for all the reasons mentioned above, plus, as long as I don't use water to clean it, then no wet grass gets caked on underneath the belt shields on the deck--it's much easier to blow dry grass from under these shields than it is to wash it out with water.

On the leaf blower comment--I just bought a new Redmax handheld blower, and it has a trigger throttle. In fact, all of the blowers I looked at had trigger throttles (Stihl, Redmax, Shindaiwa, Echo, Robin) and most also had a variable speed cruise that you can set with your thumb so you don't have to hold the trigger. But I can apply any amount of throttle I want with my blower depending how hard I squeeze the trigger.

I'm glad to see the throttle triggers back.

We went through a period there where there were no triggers. I don't know why this happened, but when I was looking for a new one about 4 years ago, NONE of them had throttle triggers, only manual speed adjustment levers down on the blower somewhere.

I just kept my old Craftsman, which is now 18 years old and still working just dandy.
