cleaning mower deck with pressure washer

Will a 2300 PSI 2GPM pressure washer clean the underside of a finish mower right down to the bare metal even if the grass is dry and caked on?

I do it on my riding mower with a cheap electric pressure sprayer from Walmart with half that PSI.

I use Pressure Washer with 2200psi 2.7GPM to clean Scotts 48in deck and it did a great job. I haven't used it yet on my Woods finish mower but plan to shortly and I'm sure it work fine on that too.

Thanks. Lowes has a 2300 PSI Generac for $300. I've had my eye on it for quite a while, but I didn't want to buy it and be disappointed.

A qualified yes, it will not blast it off in one sweep. It takes me about 30 minutes with my 3GPM, 2500 PSI Generac unit to clean down to bare (painted) metal. I have even used the variety of agents that are supposed to prevent grass buildup--and they help but do not prevent it. I hit the deck with soap and let it soak, then hit it with high pressure spray and repeat the cycle till clean. I do not clean it after every mowing but about once per month. After drying I grease it all over and sharpen blades etc (I grease after every use also).
Power washers--ooorah, ooorahh, ugh, ughhh. J

Oh, Power washers are one area were I agree with the TBN mantra--bigger is better!!!! grunt, ugghhhh, grunt. J

One caveat according to my dealer--careful powerwashing around the spindles and getting water into the bearings,, apparently hot bearings don't like water. Mike S.
