A SCUT will do everything you want, including mow your grass and won’t be an albatross when your done. Having a BH at your fingertips is very nice and not having to waste time storing and maintaining a second machine is even better.

If you have an inkling that you may want a BH in the future, get it with the machine.

It can take me 2 years to do. Dont care. But if I estimate a pond they will want 50k here. I have rk/tym/bobcat/ls. So far those are the ones i have searched for. A guy wanted $3200 for tilling around 2 acres. Not sure if that is good price or not but nothing else was going to be done and weeds grow fast, throwing away that money in 2 weeks.

Of those brands near you, which have the support you will need? Parts available and service both. These are the 2 big factors in making a new tractor purchase. Just because they are a dealership for a brand does not mean they have the support you will need.

$3200 for 2 acres of tilling seems high but not sure of what soil conditions or property needs.
You mentioned growth. I would not run my tiller in heavy growth. So brush cutting and time to decay or removal may also be included that you did not mention.
