Old thread, I know. But I did promise to give an update on what I found to clean the vinyl siding on my place.
I found Wet & Forget to be mostly 'forget'. As far as I could tell, it did nothing. On my bad side though, I didn't want to wait a few weeks to see if it really worked or not. So for those that like it, perhaps it works for you.
Jo-Max didn't do much better, but some. Being a bit impatient, I wanted immediate results :-( Jo-Max didn't do that.
What I did find that works was Simple Green Pro; the purple stuff. That just melted mildew, dirt, grim, everything else including spider webs. I did go an extra step and added a cup of bleach and a splash of Dawn to my mix. So, for me, the best was Simple Green Pro.
For concrete areas - TSPP, trisodium Pyrophosphate worked great. You don't really see the results for that though until the concrete dries. But, it's not harmful to concrete like bleach is, and it's pretty cheap.
