I painted my tractor with rustoleum JD green and was wondering should I clear coat it?

They don't come from the factory clear coated, but if it makes you feel good, go for it...

They don't come from the factory with as good of paint as Rustoeum makes either... Rustoeum holds up very well on its own, at most I'd go with just a coat of polish. Doesn't fade much at all in comparison to allot of brands.

Gave this a second thought and had another thought to share... Unless you're planning on good auto grade clear coat, I'd skip this. Go get any brand of rattlecan clear ya want, spray half of something that's a nice bright white, then wait a year, two, or three.

All the rattlecan clears I've used will all be yellowed in a year, and have a brown hue within a couple years, no matter the care given to it. I'm yet to have found a rattlecan of clear I will use on anything that I want the colors to remain bright on because of the nasty brown tint stuff gets with rattlecan clears. That's why I've became such an avid fan of Rustoleum paints, it's lasts the best, looking the best, and ya can normally find a match for anything.
