If there is any amount of brush on the land we let it sit for a few years before we even start to think about turning it over. Even then we have a lot of roots and rocks to contend with. If all it has is a pocket of brush or scattered trees then you could do it the way you hope but if it is heavy you will have to spend a lot of money to have it cleared and I don't know what type of market you have there for your crops but you will have to factor that into it.
