Clearing an Old Growth Field

/ Clearing an Old Growth Field #11
I'm not sure what the grass is but it's not fescue. My wife would never allow that where her horses are at-she knows what fescue is.

If you keep cutting your field 5-6 times per year you will be surprised what it looks like this time next year but you have to cut it at least every 3 weeks or so.

The first time it was cut you could see a bunch of dirt as the tall grass blocked out growth. Now 1-2 weeks after cutting it is really hard to walk on because it is so thick.

I was going to have it sprayed but my neighbor who went through the same thing told me to cut it a while and it worked.

If I only only cut it 2 times per year I don't think the results would be the the same.
