Clearing Land in the FL Panhandle!

Clear out the underbrush and make yourself an awesome shade garden on what's left of the woods /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif It would be very pretty and relaxing.

Great job. The trackhoe sure looks nice, it's the perfect tool for clearing brush, much better then a dozer.

The trackhoe was great, and you can't beat the root rake on the dozer.

Got a little more clean up to do with the root rake, and then will drop it off, and do some final grading with the dozer blade.

I've learned from my dozer experience that a trackhoe with a long reach and a root grapple on the end would make a fantastic clearing tool. Even better if the hoe has that little grading dozer blade on the chassis to level out the stump holes. The combination of a dozer with stout rake and the trackhoe is even better.

Highbeam, those new bladrunner Kobelco trackhoes would be a great tool for what you're talking about. They have the 6-way blade, pretty cool stuff.

That's good stuff. I am not sure how well the trackhoes like being used as dozers with their hydraulic drive and all but they seem to be a fantastic machine.
