Clicking Noise from Right Rear Wheel Area

/ Clicking Noise from Right Rear Wheel Area #21
I rotated the tires on my dually and air wrenched the nuts very tight. I never checked the torque but have every size torque wrench HF sells. While on a camping trip to Alabama driving slow over a bridge I could hear a clicking sound that didn't match bumps in the road so I figured it was coming from the semi beside us.

A few miles later we entered the campground and could still heard the sound so it must have been a chunk of gravel between the dually wheels or the camper, I thought. I made a wrong turn so I had to back up and my wife had to bail out and check for any obstructions. When I got all straightened out I had my wife walk beside the truck to narrow down the location of the sound. She said it was from the rear left dual wheels.

I got out and popped the stainless steel wheel liner covering the nuts. Every nut was backed off 1/2 way. I think the only thing that kept them from spinning off was the liner cover. I tightened them up, drove ahead and re-tightened about 6 times and got them star wrench tight finally.

Am thinking about locktite-ing them, or being more diligent at maintenance. Lucking nothing was dinged or oblonged.
