Clip-on Pallet forks: any good?

Mine clamp on then I attach with come along or ratchet straps. They are great for moving brush and unloading stuff delivered by truck. Will bend the bucket though if you try heavy stuff.

I built my own chain on, they slot onto the cutting edge, which I've reinforced with a bolt on cutting edge and they chain over the back of the bucket. I used c-channel from pallet racking. I've been very pleased they work great for the times I need forks and I have a total of $40 or so into them. I use them often, they've got my old couch in them now.

QA Plate from dealer - $99.00
Used Forks - $75
A bit of metal and paint - $25

Total: $199.00... but actually priceless!!

When I bought my NH the old owner showed me that he had used a set of clip on forks. There is permanent denting where they clipped on and he had to actually reweld the bucket at the sid seams where it had broken. He did do a good job but you can still see the dents. I will never use them. I guess I will save up for a set of QA forks.
