Re: Clipping dog\'s nails
Today, I tried a new nail clipper that I received from a manufacturer as a sample. It is called "Smart Trim". It has a depth gauge for cutting that is totally adjustable and it also retains the clippings internally. At the back end of the tool, there is a battery operated grinding stone that is used to smooth the edges. I wasn't impress when I first saw it and thought that it was just another gimmick. I tried it on Chloe, my 8 month old Mini Dachshund (6 pounds) and it really worked the way it was designed. I would say that it worked better than any other that I have experienced in 30+ years. Unfortunately, it is only designed for dogs up to 30 pounds. It is a expensive unit retailing for $30 -$35 range. Pictures will follow......
If you are interested in purchasing one, and cannot find it locally, I can send them to you by mail. Send me a PM for details... I will discount them to TBN members.
