Closing in - Kubota L4400 vs. MF 1540 - some ?'s

Got to drive a 1533 today - no 1540 on the lot - really, really liked the Power Shuttle transmission. Very good dealer experience overall, as well. AND a much better trade-in offer than my local Kubota dealer, after all. So I can essentially get the 1540 or the L4400 now for the same price, with the 1540 coming from a dealer 30 miles away (with a regional rep assigned to my town) or the L4400 coming from what appears to be a really good dealer, but 3 hours away...or the L4400 from a local dealer but at a much higher price.

The 'intangibles' are adding up in the 1540's favor.

The inner child in me is going "na na na na nah nahhh", as you're going through the same process as I had. I've already decided that if I'm going to buy a new tractor it will be the 1540. I've thought out loud here, i've posted questions, and i've pm'd folks. After weighing all of the variables and receiving all of the input, i'm sold on the 1540 for sure. The wife keeps bugging me to go buy it. All I have to do is spend the money. Yippee. I just can't seem to come to it.

Just curious, which other brands/models have you entertained?

As soon as my sales guy gets back in the office, I'm calling to order the 1540...

NH TC33 / TC40
Kub L4400 / L3130
MF 1533 / 1540

That's about it for around here. There are mulitple dealers for each of those brands, but there are not more than those brands around. The only other thing that I could add to the list is Agco. (I still may go look at the Agco labeled 1540.)
