OK, I joked about it, but how'bout you 4310 owners signing in here.

Let's see how many will list themselves as proud members.

(first order of business is whether we can include the 4210 and 4410 owners, they aren't all that bad... /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif )

BIO:

I recently traded a Yanmar 186D for my setup to use on my 80acres in NE Oklahoma. I was almost gonna buy a orange , then blue . But I really fell for the green . I almost went for the 4410, but TBN set me straight (on the published spec's errors...) We have a gazillion trees, and the 4310 is just right sized for our place. My wife, daughters and I all use it , the seat & stearing adjustments are a big plus...

I need to add a boxblade, and rake. then add a 6' rotary cutter, for pasture cutting. I can't believe how well its working with just a 4' now...

I haven't found ANYTHING I don't like about it (I don't have a front pto....)

My 4310 was ordered this week. My dealer expects delivery in about 30 days. Do I qualify for an interim membership? Did a lot of bush hogging today. First dry day here in central VA for awhile. Had a bit of nostalgia working the old Ford 2000. It's done well by my for twelve years. I've put over 1200 hours on it. Of course I'm forgetting that I've had to replace the fuel pump, two water pumps, all the tires, rebuild the carb, two batteries, etc,,, The good news is that with the 12.4-24 R1's I orderd that I won't have to replace my snow chains next winter. The oversized tires for the 4310 were only $200.00 additional. New chains would cost more than that. I also like the idea of a wider patch of rubber on the ground and a little more capacity for ballast fluid in the rears.

Does anybody have a line on an aftermarket source for a tooth bar for a 61 inch bucket on the 420 loader?

Mike,

Is there room for 4310 wantabes? I intend on replacing my 15 year old JD 755 and the 4310 is my tractor of choice. Right now both my wife's job and mine are a little shaky. Not terribly so but I will hold off on the 4310 until things hopefully get on a little more solid footing at the end of the summer. My wife, on the other hand says to just go buy it. She has seen what I have done with the 755 and understands the need to step up. My neighbor has a 4610 and she was afraid I would want to go bigger than his. But I say that with a 4610 next door (FEL & BH), with the keys always in it, I don't need to go any bigger. The 4310 will be my next green tractor.

Thanks for "signing up" I really appreciate your info on the Ford. I think it matters where you've been, when helping others. Your perspective means a lot.

I CAN tell you that the buckets are the same, I had a 420, and traded to a 430, but kept my bucket. I checked the part numbers myself on JDParts The toothbar listed for the 430 should work...

4310 wantabes

You've got my vote.

There is a psychological need to have others do as one does, to reinforce the decision. So we want you to buy ibe now, so we'll be better assured about ourselves. BUT, I realy don't want ya'all moving in with us (though , yer nice folks, and all...)

I admire your ability to not jump in, when there is strong desire, but in your situation, It would sure help to have a readily available 4600. Unless your present machine will suddenly lose value, I can't imagine any disavantage to waiting.

But, to your question: I think you have great experience to share, using both the 755 amd 4600. I will be interested in hearing about why you are so sure the 4310 will be next...

BTW, I assume everyone realizes that Club4310 is purely fictional, and has not been endorsed or promoted in any way by the fine, official, and important people who make tbn fly.

Some club, so far I get a 4710 owner, a 755 owner and a guy with a Ford (did you say: CARBURATOR? /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif ) At least, my wife pretends that I own a 4310. (Yes dear, I'll switch out the backhoe so you can mow...)

Glad to count you all as fine outstanding members...
