Guess I'm a dolt, I had reprogram the boss's Winders so those very expressions woud replace the regular dings and whirrs. 'Round here, Blazing Saddles is sorta immortal.

I was going to start a new subject but since this question is directly related to the popularity of the 4310 I guess it fits here.

Does anyone know where to find John Deere's sales numbers by model? The 4310 has to be one of the highest volume items that Deere has. The reason I ask is, I stopped at the local JD dealership the other day and saw a very impressive precision model of a JD 650 dozer. Very cool, looked like a real dozer shrunken down to about a foot long! I started thinking later how neat a 4310 in that detail would look on my desk at work. I'll bet that JD could sell a bunch of them (the models) if they were offered, judging from the apparent popularity of the 4310. The dozer was about $135.00 plus tax. Not cheap, but considering the detail, not unreasonable. I assume they came out with that model because it is probably their most popular sized dozer.

Does anyone how the numbers, 650 dozer vs 4310, compare?

just plain Bob (I bow to Mr. Barker's seniority /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif)

They DO have a 1/16 scale 4310. (I have it and the hoe, haven't tracked down the FEL yet. Both are generic) There is a chain drive 4300 ride on. The 4310 seems to be the model they use for fun stuff. Sure would be nice to see that larger scale....

Try Tractor Supply Co. for the John Deere models. Thier getting a whole slew of them in for Christmas. I believe I saw a 4310 model at the local TSC this past week.

Thats because the 4310 is a little toy. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

I've seen the 1:16 4310. Don't think that it had a FEL. I think that it came with a MMM and a snowblower. Wasn't anywhere near as detailed as the dozer.

I like playing with my full sized 4310 but it won't fit on my desk. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Do I need to state the obvious?? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Get a BIGGER desk! You're boss would probably appreciate you wanting to take more on anyway! /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

Sorry, I couldn't pass it up. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

If I got a bigger desk then everyone else would want one too. I don't see a bigger desk in my future. I've been out of work because of injuries aquired while medicating an uncooperative horse so I'll probably be lucky to have any desk at all by the time I go back. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Sorry to hear about your trouble. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

If your injury was a work related one, isn't it considered a worker comp injury? If it is, you shouldn't have to worry about your job while you're off. At least, that's the way it is in Wisconsin.
