want to get details on removing clutch from 5410 john deere,,level of difficulty for the average general handy-man/partime shade tree mechanic....non technician.

I suggest you spend the bucks and get a shop manual. Get the CD as it's usually half the cost of the paper version, and you can print out replacement pages at will. You can get the manual directly from Deere or from your dealer. I got mine from Deere.
