Clutch Replacement 1500D

I will conclude by advising you to go with whatever Aaron says. He is by far more educated than me on Yanmars.

Too bad I apparently told him the wrong thing the first time :)

With that having a felt in it would it be possible the hole is for lubricating the felt and then in turn the brass bushing.

That actually sounds pretty good. I'll research it a little more tomorrow and see if any of the manuals mention the mystery hole.

Thanks Winston and Aaron for your interest and help. I think at this time the consensus is to put the hole up. I assume I can put some oil in the hole and it will lub the felt and the shaft and then the bushing. I won't return to the lake house till this weekend and I'll start the reassembly then. I think the term "mystery hole" is definitely appropriate!
