Kenny, after your post above I got suspicious and checked again and it turns out the rod I was adjusting was the free travel for the left brake pedal. I tried to find an adjustment rod for the clutch and does,nt seem to be one. Clutch pedal appears to operate off a spring located in behind the instrument panel with no adjustment that I can find. Incidentally my tractor is hydraulic shuttle. Thanks for the responses from all who have replied.

That's the reason I kept asking which type shuttle shift. The sync-shuttle has a dry clutch and the hyd shuttle utilizes the wet type clutch that the clutch pedal controls a hyd valve not a throw-out brg.
