CM224 Front Mower

Does anyone out there have any experience with the Ford New Holland front mounted mowers such as the CM222,CM224 or CM274? I am about ready to purchase a used machine and would like some input as far as reliability. The machine i may purchase is a 1996 CM224 with 4WD, diesel, 72 deck, 600 hours for $7000. Does that sound good? I have always purchased Kubota equipment in the past and this is my first venture into New Holland. It seemed to be that the used New Holland prices were much less that used Kubota. Is there a reason for that? Is the quality not the same? Any info would be appreciated.

I've have a CM222 that I bought used 3years ago. I cut 5 aceres of rolling hills weekly. this machine works great. :thumbsup:

Local school district has several of these. Seem to hold up well. They have several steep banks they mow with them
