Case and New Holland are owned by Fiat, plus a bunch of other companies. But they are the same basic company competeing with each other. I have one of each.
If I was out buying brand new, it would be New Holland without a doubt. Case just doesn't work with you and support there stuff to the same level that I've found at New Holland. It could be my local dealers, but some of the company policies from Case are just silly.
For example, Case will not rebuild hydraulic pumps on there equipment, only new parts. A hydraulic pump on my dozer runs almost $20,000. I took it out and had it rebuilt for $2,000.
My neighbor wanted to buy a brand new backhoe. He wanted 4x4, cab and a 4 way bucket. The salesman at Case gave him a price and told him that was it, take it or leave it. The salesman at New Holland not only beat the price for the Case, but offered an extended warentee, free service and really went the extra mile.
Again, this may be a local issue and Case might be allot better in other areas of the country than here. It's not tha Case isn't as good a tractor, I have no idea, but there is some issues that do exist here.
As for Kubota, it's also hit or miss. My local dealer wasn't very helpful or even concerned with wanting my business. I went there three times to look at tractors and talk to the salemen. Each time I felt like I was wasting there time and they could care less if I bought from them or not. I still wanted a Kubota, but when I talked to some people I saw who had them, they warned me away from the local dealer. One guy drives several hours to a diffferent dealer just to not have to deal with the local one.
Again, that's here. From what I know about Kubota, it's about as good a company and product as you can find. But sometimes, that's not enough. I want really good support and service.
