This moring the thermometer read 18F /w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gif. They claimed last might that a lot of record lows would be challenged.

I was wonderimg what other posters had for low temps this morning that were affected by the "blast of cold Arctic air" in the northeast.

Hopefully the cold night didn't damage the fall colors. Temps are supposed get warmer again this weekend lows 30 to 40 highs 60 to 70. I will taking some pics of the fall colors this weekend. I could post a few senic pics if one likes.

Derek,

Here in Northern Illinois the low was only 45 degrees. Would love to see pics of fall in the NE.

Here in Fairfield Vt. we pulled in all the produce getting ready for a good frost. The best thing about cold weather is it Chilli Season.

It was even down to 47F here in Central Texas this morning. Opening day for the State Fair and nothing but beautiful weather in the forecast (unless you'd rather have rain, like me/w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif.

I think it was Wednesday morning that I had to scrape frost off the windshield of the Explorer before heading off to work. The temp was only in the mid-30's, but I guess that was cold enough. Kind of early for that stuff here in Southeast Michigan.

1st frost here in Syracuse NY, got down to about 25 last night, not too bad but the horses all got their blankets put on! /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

28 degrees here in the Champlain Valley. Bird, after the summer you have had, you must have about froze to death this morning.

51F this morning down here in South Texas. I'm with Bird, need the rain. When the cold front came through, it graciously dumped an inch and a half here on poverty acres. But, We are sure gonna need more, for some decent Winter grass. Hay will be scarce and high this Winter.

I got 1.3" of rain last Sunday; not enough to break the drought, but did break the long dry spell. And I'm loving the cooler weather.

Dave,

I don't have a digital camera /w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif/w3tcompact/icons/mad.gif. It will take a week to get the prints back. Either scan them or I might try the Photo CD option on film development. Has anybody used the Photo CD? How much did it cost?

Derek,
It seems that you and I had about the same temp yesterday morning..18.7 degrees here,/w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gifand the frost was heavy.
33.2 degrees this morning a tad warmer /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gifand looks to be a grand of a weekend so north I'm heading to moose alley to do some filming, and I plan on stopping at the Kubota dealer..Eddie Nash and just might add a couple of things to my chirstmas list. /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

What tractor dealer did you purchase from.

Keep the woodstove warm and enjoy the /w3tcompact/icons/cool.gif weekend.

David,

I took some pictures of the fall colors on Sunday. Need to get the film developed. Was a little hazy in the mountains. Have to see how the pics will come out. The closer ones will come out better. Also got some pics of the NH and attachments.

Glenn,

Ablaze is an understatement! They are on fire. My father and I were just talking after work tonite and it is peak right now in are area. Near the lake I understand they are just starting. Tomorrow should be the best day to see them... it will be clear & sunny. The weekend looks like rainy, cold, and snow showers.

It did take some pics of the colors and will post them when I get them back.

Derek,

That NH blue should stand out very nicely against the NH autumn colors! Looking forward to seeing your pics.

Fall is my favorite time of the year so I am looking forward to seeing your pictures. Also, if anyone else has some fall scenery, or tractor, pictures to post please post them.
Like you, I do not have a digital camera but I sure would like to get one or get a video camera that can bes used for still shots.
Here in Alabama it is forecasted to be in the 30s Sunday.
