I searched through oil threads & didnt find my answer so I will ask.
What would be a good hyd/gear oil to use in a 51 8n in cold weather. We have been having temps from -15 to + 20 and the 3 point takes +- 30 seconds to fully raise
till it gets good and warm. And will I have to change back to heaver oil when summer gets here?

Thanks

a quality UTF oil meeting the M2C134 spec.. ( plenty to choose from ). most are called 'transdraulic' 'tractor fluid' 'universal fluid / oil' etc.

ps.. you can leave it in.. many do.

if pto seal or trans input shaft seal or axle seals leak, .. you are likely overfilled anyway.. but seals are replaceable...
