I am a new member , and found some great info the first visit .
I have a TC35 ,FEL, RMM, and noticed while moving snow the temp never seemed to rise to standard level. I purchased this tractor in march 2002 there is no temp gauge
and this had me wondering . That is why I checked tonight and noticed the block seemed cool and also the hose . Found this site and now know what the problem is. THANKS and I
plan to visit often . We opreate a small farm and have many NH products this is the latest addition.

Welcome, ScottPA!

I just got my TC40D 10 days ago. I researched for over 2 years before purchasing with much time spent on this site. Being "forewarned and forearmed" with knowledge, I knew what I was in for when I got it.

The cool engine is one thing. Make sure you watch for battery acid corrosion from the radiator sucking acid fumes from the battery and the fan rubbing the housing from loader stress (these I have too.) The other problems (parking brake not holding, tilt/telescoping wheel not holding, cruise control not holding, HST pedals not returning to neutral, the loader lever breaking) are related to the "D" models./w3tcompact/icons/eyes.gif

Also, be sure to share YOUR experiences with us so we can learn from you!

Thanks for the welcome . I already noticed the battery problem a few months ago need to Talk to the the Dealer
about that , as for some of the other problems you mentioned
I have the standard TC35 no frills model (not even a temp gauge) so they don't affect me . as for sharing info no problem if I come across anything not on this board I will let you know, people here are right on top of things. I have learned plenty tonight.

Scott, start by pinching the radiator drain hose with a clamp or vice grips and then let it run for 15 minutes and see if engine comes up to temp.
