Ended up getting this one today, had a $10 credit too, fence puller would have been ok but i will be using the come along winching stuff up on my trailer from time to time when i dont have my tractor with me. Just hope it has enough tonnage to do what i need.

Tuf-Tugョ Cable Hoist Puller, 7-1/2 ft. Double Line - Tractor Supply Co.
Now for the barbwire, if you don't have a wire puller, look for one of these.

With the cable come a long the main thing is to get one that has a solid cast drum and teeth on the side. The cheap one has the teeth made out of stamped steel. They look okay until you need to really pull something. The 4 pieces of stamped metal spread and you have no teeth on the spool. Handles should be well made also. Any sort of side pull will fold them over. Good to have around.

I've got three "Tiger Pulls" that each show ALL of the "features" described.

Yes, I used them hard, and still do. But they are so annoying!

I would never buy another "come along" that wasn't either the red one pictured above, or the ton and a half chain pull I purchased recently. A bit heavy, but a nice tool! It's hanging in the basement next to the wood stove now. A recent use had it laying in the snow, and I wanted the insides free if any water. ;-)

For pulling fence, use a fence line puller. So much easier to work with.

Or, just hook a chain to the tractor......;-)

This one is $50 and works just as well.

Farm Jacks - 42" 3-1/2 Ton Farm Jack
To each their own. First of all, you are comparing a 42" jack to the 60" Hi Jack X-Treme. Second, in my opinion the second-last item you should economize on is a jack (the last item: defensive firearms). A US made jack makes me feel a lot more comfortable than one made to a price. Finally, every part for the Hi Jack is readily available and it's the dial tone with off roaders. My as yet unborn grandchildren will be using the Hi Lift.

There are a number of videos on Youtube comparing these products.

I also have this come along. It's expensive, but much superior to the stamped steel model. The Amstel Blue Kevlar cable handles like ski rope but is amazingly strong. It's a tool that is awesome when you need it. Know it's over your budget, but if you ever want a bullet proof powerful manual winch, this is it. Probably weighs 20 pounds

For stretching fence I like these. Does require two people though. One stretch and one staple but faster than a com-a-long.
