Time to load up the tractor and help a friend level off his back yard!

Nice tractor you bought for junior. Now you gotta go out and get one for yourself. :)

You don't know how right you are!
That's okay, I'm glad the kids are enjoying it as much as I am.

Nice rig but I think I would chain the tractor down differently for hauling in CO and NM. I added tie down points to the front of my 4520 that would work with your tractor. This allows you to have a straight pull on the chain from the side pockets on the trailer to the tractor frame.

Thank you for that, Jenkins! That would be a safer way to go.
Nice suitcase weights! Are your tires ballasted as well?

I should not say this , but I will . Make **** sure that young man does not get behind you while working . I ran over a grandson while grading with a skidsteer for a pool . Broke an ankle , that was it . I had previously lectured parents , my wife on the rules . 5 minutes into the project he decides to sneak around behind me . I was not happy with the previously mentioned people .

Thank you, Kevin. Very good advice and I'm very thankful that things weren't worse for you and your grandson!

The truth is, I prefer to be on the ground holding the shovel while the kid is on the tractor. This is for two reasons: One is for safety. I can see everything and control the situation better. For example, "Hold on a minute, the ground here looks pretty soft."

The other reason is if I'm the one on the ground running a shovel, it will keep me from getting too fat!
