In the fridge /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif...

Couldn't resist on that one...

nahhh, the woodline is about 25 yards from the location where I took a couple of snapshots of the fawn and the doe was watching intently from the woods. I'd seen the doe earlier in the day just a standing still for the longest time, I knew something was up, so when I went for my stroll, I took my camera and sure e'nuff...there was Bambi. After a couple of beeps from my camera, the fawn made a run for the woodline, as seen in this picture:

Here is Mama, taken this photo earlier in the day when she was just standing there, bending down , as I caught in this snapshot. Not very good quality, at least a couple of hundred yards away and cropped a little to emphasize the doe. I suspect she'd just given birth and was cleaning the fawn when I took this snapshot.

As you can see, overgrown pasture, and the woodline just behind the deer.

Deal went sour today...
It was supposed to be in tomorrow, So I call up the dealer to check status, and he hasn't even ordered it yet. Amazing, I told him I was going to buy it and to go ahead and order it, and that was last week. I did the ultimatum thing ,, in my yard by Saturday or I'm looking elsewhere, and he say , well, maybe end of next week sometime.

Anyways, I'm now looking elsewhere.

I'm sure you're pissed, but sounds like a little miscommunication. I can't imagine a dealer ordering a tractor, unless he's VERY confident he can sell it elsewhere, without having you come in and sign something and/or a down-payment. Don't be too hasty, unless of course you see this as an indication of things to come, such as poor response on service issues, etc. Sounds like you made the right decision to purchase the TC 30, so unless you're so ticked you cannot wait a week, stay calm.

By the way, did you get a chance to drive either of the two? How each handles, steers, shifts, how well the hydro works, how the brake pedals work in conjunction with the hydro pedals?

I can actually play the numbers game quite well, I used to sell new and used cars in the early 90's for a living. I think I ended up on better end of the deal and I'm sure if I pressed, I will eventually and end up with that tractor.

As has been mentioned in these forums before, its the service and committment provided by the dealership which is better in the long run as opposed to gettin' the better hand and creating ill will over a couple of hundred dollars.

When I made a sell, I was on top of things, keeping communication open and if there was ordering to be done, it was done in a timely manner.

I'm not going to press if he doesn't want to sell a tractor, I'll look elsewhere, which I did...

I even found a dealership which sells NH's and KUbota's side by side. After trying both, driving around the tractor yard, testing the lifts and listening to the engines, I'm actually more impressed with the Kubota's.

Tune in next time to see what my final, final decision is. Geez, isn't this fun.
