Comments on this trailer... good or bad?

I did say the one I like that is built to also haul skid steers... it is still rated at 9,999 lbs for California and made with t 6k axles, retractable tarp, swing gates, concealed ramps, corner drop down stabilizing posts, spare tire, etc...

Thing is her tow vehicle is an older C10 pickup... so the heavier the trailer the less cargo she can haul...

I've had a Carson 16' 7,000# equipment trailer for about 10 years now. I don't know about current construction, but mine was made from quite heavy materials, welds were "adequate", wiring was iffy but functional, brakes on one axle. I've had loads of sand and pavers that exceeded GVW by a 1,000# or more without issue. I know, I know, the weight police put me on probation for a year.

I've had no problems in 10 years but that was then and this is now!

I would say it's an example of truth in advertising. It's a light duty trailer. Add 2' sideboards and a tarp and fill it full of shavings, trash, etc. and you would be fine. Load it to the top of the sideboards with dirt or rock and it probably would not lift. But for it's stated purpose it would be OK. Pricewise it's in line with ones around me. I would say I would not buy one that small or light duty as I would quickly try to haul more than the trailer could handle but that's just me.

2015 PJ 10' Dump Trailer

There is a new PJ heavy duty dump with ramps at a dealer 30 miles south for 9k...

The trailer is close to 5,000 lbs and can car another 7,000... which would need a commercial license and much more than a older 1/2 ton Chevy...

I have a PJ non-dump for my Deere 110 TLB and it is well built and tag derated to 9,999 lbs GVW
