Hi all, I'm looking for comments on an ad I saw in the local newspaper . After calling, here are the particulars:
Tractor
----------
Make: Kubota
Model: L3450
Year: 1990
Hours: 1207
Transmission: Owner wasn't quit sure, which I thought is a little odd. I questioned him on it found out it has 4wd, 8 forward gears and a lever to shift between forward and reverse. Sounds like a shuttle shift.
HP: 34
FEL
------
Make: Kubota
Bucket size: 5'
Tooth Bar: No
Lifting hooks: No
BH
---------
Make: Woods
Model: 650
Reach: 6.5'
Mount: 3PH
Rear Finish Mower
-------------------
Make: Bush Hog
Year: 2004 (about 18 hours on it)
Width: 5'
Current owner purchased the tractor used from a contractor in '94. Tractor had 300-400 hours at that time. Current owner has used the tractor for mowing 6-7 acres (the current mower replaced an earlier one) and digging sediment out from some ponds. Owner has always changed the oil every 100 hours (didn't think at the time to ask about hydraulic and transmission). Has had zero mechanical problems. A seal was replaced on the stabilizer bar for the BH. Tractor has been kept in a basement garage and then the past 3 years in a metal carport. However, he did say the paint was faded and both the tractor and BH seat are cracked. This isn't surprising given the age.
Asking price for all of the above: $16,495
Not knowing all of the specs for the L3450, FEL and BH I don't know how well this would compare to the one I am in the market for L3130 HST, 723 FEL, BH90, and brush hog (all new). With this setup being 14 years old, 1200+ hours and not even half the price of a new rig I mentioned earlier, I think I'd be better off to dig a deeper into the wallet and go new.
Comments?
Thanks in advance,
Mark
