Commercial mower price

Thanks for the replys on the commercial mower question. As far as price goes. I havent started pricing them yet.
So I have no idea how much thease things cost period. What im looking for here is some advice as to which one
comes recommended by the group. Are there any particular brands to stay away from???? Any brands that give better
customer service than others???? All im asking for here is some feed back on whats a good commercial mower to start looking at.

My first and foremost objective here, is to get the 5 acres moved and stay out of the direct sun while doing it.

As far a prices go, we use a JD 455 3cyl diesel 60" deck that was about 10K new several years ago. It's a great machine but the deck is not readily accessible and there's no canopy available that I know of. I don't know about PowerTrac prices, but if I had to replace the JD I would look hard at them because as said earlier, there are many attachments available to help with other jobs.

Dan; I don't know if you are refering to zero turn mowers or not when you say commercial. I have been doing some research on them. Prices will run between $7000-$10,000. At the lower price range, you will find 23hp gas engines from Scag, Exmark, Hustler and JD. Going up to $10,000 will get you a Kubota (or other manufacturer) 20-24 hp diesel machine. Hope this helps.

That's the nice thing about factory direct from Power Trac... all of the prices are posted on their website. Everyone gets the same deal, and there is no haggling over prices.
