Tiller commercial tillers?

( CCM has 3 series of tillers equal too or exceeds commercial demands. We sell only GEAR DRIVE TILLERS, not the lighter duty chain tillers.
Just looking at the link above our MR series compares to the Howard HR20 and our SR series compares to the Howard HR30 series. You will notice we have a substantial price advantage because of the way we market our tillers. Take a look at the CCM GEAR DRIVE ADVANTAGES.

Hi,
Would my tractor handle this tiller in a 5 ft or 60"?
Says it is a 27 HP and 22HP at the PTO.

Look for info on Kuhn tillers. They have options you don't find on other tillers including gear boxes to change the tine speed, different tines for use on different soils (the tines for heavy clay are different than loam) and the ability to run other PTO driven equipment behind the tiller depending on model. All of the models with the exception of the smallest is gear drive.

Kuhns use a double steel shield so that even if you're chunking rocks all day, the outer shield will never show a dent.

BushHog make some very heavy duty reverse till tillers that a few of my commercial customers use the tar out of and seem to love them. I would highly recommend them.

If you're interested in the Kuhn tillers they have a website

that you can access to select a model based on your tractor's pto hp. They show the minimum and maximum pto hp for each model. The tillers have a wide range of input power which means if you buy a larger hp tractor later, the tiller won't have to be replaced.

Many of the Kuhn tillers have a hydraulic side shift so that you can cover the wheel track on one side rather than buy a tiller that extends past both wheels. All things considered, I'd suggest you buy the heaviest tiller you can that still weighs less than your 3 pt lift capabilities for the best power transfer to the job. I would look at several of the Kuhn models since even a tiller that will handle 100 hp would still work on your tractor.

For cultivation, I'd consider a BCS gasoline or Goldoni diesel two wheel tractor.

Fortunately my PTO doesn't run backwards. I almost purchased a Mitisubishi that did but I was smart enough to know that would be hard to find equipment for.

Reverse rotation means the tines rotate away from the tractor's forward motion instead of towards the forward motion. They use the usual tractor's PTO. Proponents feel the reverse rotation pulls the tiller into the ground, pulverizes the soil better, and throws clumps of soil forward so they can be "chewed" again.
