I realize this may be in the wrong spot, but i was not getting any action on this in the lawn and garden forum. I have 18 acres that is pretty much overrun with this stuff. Anyone have any experience in dealing with it? I am planning on buying a sprayer a little closer to fall, but unsure of the best method to get rid of it.

Of course there are alot of different teasels. I have 15 acres of teasels in a CRP program. Mowed them late last summer (august). What happened was a super crop of young teasels this spring. County agent comes out and gave okay to spray. 24D was put on all acres for 20 dollars per. Curled them up and the Buffalo grass which was never very good now has taken over. Five to six foot tall in most places. Mowing if done twice a year keeps the teasels out of the side ditches.

I have a musk teasle issue. Im using milestone herbicide and am seeing good results. There is a certain time of year to act depending on type.

Cyamaha, have you been spraying it yourself? Trying to figure out if it is worth purchasing a sprayer and doing it myself.
