Probably the same type cheap paint Kubota used on the bottom of my loader bucket.

Lost my password. How is going down there where the heat is. 15 degrees tonight here. What is ugly? Me?

I retired my original Ratchet Rake Today thread, which I was pretty proud of, after you posted a couple pointless, ugly comments there.

Eighty degrees in North Florida, like almost every day this 'winter'.

Did you visit Florida this winter?

What the heck did I say? I just looked it up. You called Tomtint out cause he had major wear on his RR. Then he posted some picks and you said it was used.

Ugly, Murph.

Why are you using an alias?
Murph might not be attractive to some folks, but I wouldn't go so far as calling him ugly.

No one asked me but I'll give my opinion anyway.

Get over it and worry about something that really matters. Life's too short to fret over such trivial things. Hook it up put it to work and enjoy the outdoors.

I believe I am correct in stating ETA manufactures their Pine Straw Rakes in Newton, North Carolina.

Then I stand corrected, if they are truly manufacturing their own, then they are wholly responsible for fit and finish. They ARE inexpensive though.

King Kutter also sells robust equipment that is built in the USA (tiller gearboxes are imported).
I do not own any ETA attachments, but my KK attachments certainly do have crappy paint.
Quality of finish is obviously a cost related issue.
While I definitely do appreciate a quality finish, I will pick solidly built equipment over pretty finish every time.

I believe the issue is that EA should not be advertising 100% customer satisfaction and that they stand behind their products. Let's put this into perspective, these implements are heavy to ship and the freight is costly, to send and then have it returned and then send you a new implement, that's 3 freight bills that will cost more than the material and labor, and put the company in the hole. I personally pointed out three major manufacturing errors on my EA box blade, and I mounted the blades as Travis requested and posted pictures as Travis requested. I sent an email for return authorization and never heard a response back.

So if (YOU) had a great experience with EA, great for YOU!, but 1,000 great experience does not correct someone else's bad experience.

So just change your advertising to : (shut up and like it!) and all these problems will go away. Problem solved. Now we can all go out and enjoy the beautiful day.

From what I recall, you wanted them to issue a full refund before you would send the blade back. I can see why they wouldn't want to do that.

Here's my experience. I got a new frontier box blade bb4296H. I believe it's the biggest and baddest they make. To the tune of $4435 msrp. It had several scratches that were long and all the way thru the paint. It looked terrible. I asked the dealer for some paint I could buy. He offered to touch it up. I told him I'd rather do it but he insisted. This was the service adviser. When I go to strap it down I find paint on the cylinder, both hoses and over ever single frontier sticker on the impliment. Over spray was even on the trailer deck. I knew these get used but I wanted it nice fro just one day and they royally fired me up. I was fine doing it, I understand things get bumped during transport and the LTL guys done care because it's a huge chunk of metal. I was more upset with the fact they guy touching it up gave no regard for my new equipment....the most expensive one they have sold no less! Stuff happens in transport, it's part of it. The fact EA stepped up and offered to compensate you for the paint speaks volumes. I wouldn't want powdercoat on my implements. Much easier to touch up paint with a rattle can from the store
