I have a couple questions about rebuilding the pistons on my YM240's unknown aftermarket brand FEL. (I'm a complete Hydraulics servicing novice)

It seems to have a wire lock securing the gland. What is the proper name for this wire when I contact a hydraulic shop to describe it?
I also assume that they are for one time use and need to be replaced every time I take the gland off?

For the short flexible hydraulic hoses on the FEL between the metal hydraulic piping and the cylinders, how does one remove/attach them?
Are both ends unscrewed/screwed together in the same direction so that the hose does not get twisted up.
That would mean that one is a left thread to loosen and the other a right thread to loosen?
Or is there another way to remove/attach a hydralic hose?

A good hyd hose guy will put a fixed end on one end and a swivel fitting on the other end.

He should do what you ask.
