I have need to replace two front tires on a Kubota B2150. The original tires (AG tread, R-1) are marked "6-12 NHS" and "Carlisle Super Lug" model. They are probably 30 years old.

In shopping for replacements, I see some 6-12 tires marked "ONO" that are also Carlisle tires and are radials. What does ONO mean ? [Cannot find what that means any where on line.] I have no reason to think that ONO marking relates to Mr. Ono who is an executive in the tire world.

I see no reason not to use the 4-ply rated bias cord Carlisle tires. Anyone with better insight on tires for the B2150 ?

I don't know the meaning of ONO.

The 6-12 is a 6" wide tire on a 12" rim which is what I just put on the rear of my 2400, R1, bias, 4 ply Carlisle. "NHS" means Non Highway Service (rating) as compared to "DOT" rating for highway service. Can't tell and you didn't say if your 30 year old Bota tractor is 4wd or not but if it is, you need to know the "Rolling Circumference" of the radial vs bias ply so that your drivetrain will match uip when running in 4wd on hard surfaces.

Tks. Texas Mark.

Yes, my 30 some year old B2150 Kubota is 4WD. A 2wd tractor, like a 2wd pickup truck, is a stuck vehicle in my applications. Actually I love the B2150 and bought a 2nd one about 6 years ago so I have two. Have swapped wheels & tires and MMM around between the two tractors to get the AG treads on the one I use for snow removal in winter and some mud travel in summer. The other one uses turf tires.

To shorten the story, I have been running the old bias ply 6-12 front R-1 tires for 6 years now and they seem to match OK with the rear AG tread tires. So I decided to just buy the new bias ply 6-12 s which should be a one-for-one replacement and a match, not have to think about the rolling circumference difference if I had gone for the radials. [I had just hoped with this thread that I might snag someone who had recently bought the Carlisle tires and might comment on them or about alternatives. Too late now as I have placed the order.]

Thanks for looking. The Carlisles were delivered and soon to be mounted. Should be OK.
