As a forester I would advise you to get ahold of a local forester and have them come out for a consultation. In some states or counties there maybe a forester hired just for this very situation and the cost to you will be nothing or very small, as opposed to finding and hiring a procurement forester. There is several different types of logging equipment that can be used to harvest trees with little impact to the land. I strongly recommend staying away from dozers because of the unwanted damage they will do to the soil/trees.
