Comparing 5325 mfwd to TYM/Montana/Mahindra

I can't comment on the specific models you're looking at, but I too had narrowed my choices down to Mahindra, Montana or Deere... with NH being a maybe.

For me, the Montana & Mahindra dealer network was a little too sparse for comfort. If Maka (or DanCCE) were closer, I'd probably have a Montana... but they aren't close, so that really made me nervous about support. There is only 1 dealer for each of those brands within an hour's drive (one way) from me. Conversely, there are 3 Deere & 2 NH dealers within that same distance. I didn't care much for the NH dealers, so I went with Deere. Being a total tractor noob, I need all the support I can get. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Since you already have a Mahindra, you know about them & the dealers in your area. Now research the Montana & Deere dealers and see who fits your needs best.

Turkfly- your dad still live in/around Oologah? I'm just 8 miles NW of there. Hallet should be fun on Saturday- cool & sunny, so there should be some fast conditions. If ya get bored, give us a holler & I'll let you come mow some pasture. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

LOL- if we run out of grass on my property, we can mow the neighbor's place. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Another Okie? Wow. Mom and dad are both in a nursing home here in Arkansas....that's why I left Deere early. After pounding the world for 30 years, I thought it was enough. Dad was raised between Nowata and Oolagah, over near the lake. I have been accused of taking "Agricultural Expeditions" in my race car. I hear you have great weather coming up. Be there tomorrow night!

Guys I'm still here and listening to all that's said. I will take another serious look at the deere models and get some real prices. I have been and sat in the deere (5425) in Somerset Ky at Shiloh but have been told by neighbors to froget trying to trade with them. Supposed to be a good deere dealer over in London Ky and Crossville TN (about an hour and a half away). Can't say that I thought the cab was particularly any nicer than the Mahindra.
Interesting that there seem to be more Mahindra dealers within an hour of me than deere. I have found a good place/ dealer that sells Mahindra and have bought some implements from him.
Really would like to keep my us dollars here and at a union shop. Plus you can get tons of cool stuff with the deere logo on it and virtually nothing with Mahindra.
I know I keep hearing that I need a bigger tractor, but with the lay of the land here and only wanting to roll 4x4 rolls I really believe the 5325 would do what I want to do. I know it would do for me on my 170 acres if the Mahindra 6000 is doing everything now. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
