I did a bit of shopping yesterday, looked at Kubota B3030, sat in the seat and promptly slid off the front. The seat bottom tilts down/forward so it is work to stay in the seat!!
Not the tractor for me, dealer says there has been lots of complaints about the seat, he thinks he can fit a different seat to it. The B3030 with 60" loader and cab was $17590. Tested the B7800, specs very similar to the CK30, seat was comfortable enough, floor area was small and I didn't like the front angle, not comfortable, but tolerable. The backhoe platform was too small for my big feet. Dealer recommended going for Woods backhoe, more room for my feet, adjustable seat, a touch more power and slightly less money. Don't like position of loader controller on the Kubuta's, having to keep my arm 'up in the air' like that, B7800 with 60" loader, $15990. Did a quick check on a CK25, that dealer didn't have a CK30, I forgot to ask the price of the 30, much more comfortable seat, adjustable as well, the others were not. Floor area nice and flat, lots of room for me. Liked the placement of loader control better, more natural position. CK25 w/ 60" loader, $15500, if the Kioti dealer was closer and more knowledgable, I suspect there would be one in my yard now. Kubota dealer was much more knowledgeable and took more time to explain the plus's and minus's of his tractors. Kioti dealer is 55 miles away, Kubota is 17. The Kubota dealer is also a NH dealer so I looked at them as well, found operator area way too cramped for me. A few weeks ago I looked at a JD2520, that was a nice tractor, fit reasonably well, I liked some of their features, JD2520 with 54" loader and weight box, $18221. That dealer is 60 miles away, called another JD dealer who has a questionable reputation, but much closer, they were asking $17300 for the 2520 with 54" loader. I am still undecided if I like the single or dual HST pedal setup. None of the dealers would deliver a machine to my house to try out, all I could do was drive around their parking lots.
