Comparing the 'orange' machines.

The B series Kubotas are not in the same size class as the Kioti CK30, the Kubota L2800 or L3400 frame and weight are much more similar. The B3030 seats on ALL new tractors are a different design; if you like the tractor order a new one that already has the new seat, not one that has been sitting in the rain for six months. I garage all my equipment, it would be nice for the dealer to do the same.

The B series did seem small and cramped compaired to the CK's. My dealer said that he is receiving the new style seats for all Bxx30's he has on his lot. He will give me left over move it before winter pricing with the new seats.

Have you looked at the Bobcat yet? Same as the Kioti, available at select Bobcat dealers starting NOW. Be the coolest kid on the block with the white black and red tractor. No rain on them seats.

I have not looked at one yet, everything I have read though is the loader is not as strong as the Kioti and they have 1/2 the warrenty.

Just for kicks, you really ought to look at a Kubota Grand L (e.g. L3240), about 1800.00 more than the B3030 but 2x the tractor. Very, very nice tractor.

I know as you spend a little more.. you get a lot more tractor, the B3030 would be pushing my budget, it would limit the implements I could get... the L3240 would be over the top... unless the stock market comes roaring back in the next 3 weeks.

The L3400 compares to the DK35se in the Kioti lineup. About the same size and price but the DK is more fully featured.

I've got an L3400 and when I drove the DK35se I thought it was quite a bit more tractor - it is quite a bit heavier. When I drove the CK30 which appears to be about the same size from the specs, I felt that my L3400 felt stouter and bigger... although I'm pretty sure that the CK30 is heavier by a few hundred lbs.

I think that the L3400 is worth a look for you. I imagine that you will find the seating position quite a bit more comfortable. It is quite a bit more barebones than the B3030 however. Personally I think that unless finish mowing is one of your primary applications or for some reason you really need the smaller size, the B series are not the best choice.

My Kioti search only goes 100 miles from my house so it shows nothing in NH and the dealer I have been dealing with is about half way between my house and the Maine/NH border. If you have any names or contact information I would appreciate it.

My Kioti dealer (Batchelder Sales) is in Lebanon, ME and probably not too far from you. They are small but great to work with and very knowledgable about tractors. They have been great for service and support after the sale and great about warranty work. They also had the best price on my brand new CK20 HST.

Batchelders included delivery (30+ miles each way), instruction, 50 hr service, grill guard, large stabilizer feet and larger (16") bucket for backhoe, and choice of tires all included in the quoted price.

I have had several people highly recommend these folks, mapquest puts them at 2hrs 45min, 120 miles from my house. Guess it is time for a road trip... I was told that the number 5 Kioti dealer in sales was in Maine.. does anybody know who that is?

I have to give a +1 for Batchelder Sales in Lebanon as well. Eric in the shop is great if I need something and Becky in the office has been very helpful. The fifty hour service is no longer in the sales price though, unless it has changed again. Good luck,,

Actually, according to the dealer, Bobcat loader lifts 1225 lbs full height at the pins, Kioti 1155 lbs. However, Kioti's loader lift height is 92.5 inches, Bobcat's is only 85 inches. Bobcat's warranty and Kioti's are the same except Kioti throws in an additional 12 months on the driveline (3 years compared to 4 years). Kubota's warranty is anemic, I believe it is 12 months parts OR labor bumper to bumper, 24 months driveline. (Someone please correct me if I'm wrong; I'm shopping, too!)

I have contacted Rick on some other matters, he does seem like he would be a good person to deal with. I am not so sure I would want to pay for transportation costs from Penn to mid-coast Maine. Sure wouldn't hurt to ask though...

The easiest way to get around the Kioti website limitation on dealers is to put in a different zipcode. Try a Nashua NH zipcode and a Lebanon NH zipcode and you will find at least two more NH dealers both with fine reputations.

Regarding Rick Wallace and delivery, call him and see what you can work out. Sometimes he just likes to get into his fancy truck and drive.

That is interesting. I was at Bobcat of Boston a few weeks ago looking for some hydraulic bits and pieces. They also had an orange CK30 and a DK35 on their lot. I was aware they were a Kioti dealer as they had a booth at the Topsfield Fair a month or so ago. They seemed to be preparing to have the new Bobcat 'Kioti' tractors in stock too as they had promotional material etc. I guess some of the Bobcat dealers are legitimate Kioti dealers too.

Kubota's warranty is 2 yrs bumper to bumper and 3 yrs drive train parts and labor!
