I don't own either tractor so here it goes:
The 4310 it is also available in gear and glideshift, plus I suspect you didn't use the lowest range on the hydro as it will go slower than any gear model.
Can't comment on lift heights although I suspect the toplink wasn't adjusted right. I've never wished I could lift the 3 point higher
The hydraulic top link is an option, you can use a standard top link.
So in short, no I don't agree with you /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif but thats ok cause any tractor is better than no tractor!
