hi all:

OK, it's getting cold here... so, here comes the season of questions from me! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

i have a 1601d with a 3t75u engine (if i remember correctly) and a 169d with a 3t72ha engine (verified). I have a bunch of oil and air filters for the 169d. Will these work on the 1601d? are the compatible? Otherwise, I guess it's time for an order!!!

ps. if i switch to synthetic, any concerns on the old tractors?? Thanks a lot for your time here.

The opinion of a retired shade tree mechanic: If it fits, use it.

When using a non OEM filter on my equipment I check that the size of the seal is the same, that it will screw on ok, and that it is as large or larger that the OEM. Then if it doesn't obstruct anything, on it goes. Not very scientific but very pragmatic.

Anything other than an OEM filter is known as a "will fit" filter. Try it on for size.
