Flail Mower Compatibility of Kuhn BE14 and JD 2032R

Hi Guys,

Probably not going to be in luck with this query but I'm planning on purchasing a JD 2032R and despite the PTO only being rated at 24 hp am also planning on purchasing a Kuhn BE 14 flail mower which specifies a minimum 31 hp at the gearbox (by this I assume they mean the PTO). I have a UK dealer telling me the 2032R will handle the BE 14 fine but a French dealer saying it won't. The UK dealer going by general experience the French by the paper spec's and not unreasonably so.

Before I possibly make an expensive mistake is there anyone out there who has experience of the Kuhn BE14 flail mower on a PTO of around 24 hp?

Or indeed anyone with any advice on this at all. My UK dealer has been very good and has a lot of experience so I was initially happy to go with his recommend despite the disparity in the horsepowers but the French dealer has definitely brought back an element of doubt which I am grateful for as i won't move forward with the BE14 until I get a third opinion/put the doubt to bed.......
