I personally prefer the natural grey. Staining it and keeping it looking that way .... and looking even along the whole length .... I'd think would be very difficult and if it were me doing it---- it would most certainly look much better natural. Darn nice looking fence .... and long .. the work involved is obvious and you did a great job on it.

That fence sure came out nice.

I get a little confused from time to time, but was the fence built to keep your dogs in, or was that another poster? I like the wire you used and can't imagine too many animals could get in or out of it!!!

Very nice job, you spent a lot of time on that. I love that kind of fence. I am putting up something similar around my pool area. I do the same thing in my paddock with the wire mesh to keep my Dobermans in. I have to use mini-mess in the outside of my pool are though. I put my planking on the inside of the poles too because horses will just push the boards off scratching there rumps on it. I love the way you did your caps my only concern would be the water trap created by the bottom rail and cross plank for you center support

Yeah, the water trap is a concern of mine too, I will see how it holds it. I guess I could always put drain holes in it. I was afraid that might be worse since it would expose more end grain.

BTW the caps were cheap 1.00 plastic caps that I painted flat black. Got them at lowes. The weld wire is vinyl coated black and is almost invisible from a distance.

The dogs love it.

You’re probably going to be fine anyway, I wouldn’t loose any sleep over it. PT will shrink anyway and it will open its own drains in time. As far as treating it leave it alone for a year or till next summer to dry out for a while. Then I would just use a wood preserver on it for decks. It will keep that brown look for a long time if you do it every year. Buy 1 of those airless sprayers for a couple 100 bucks and just spray it out of the 5. You will never be sorry you bought it. Just clean it good.
