Could someone please tell me how to fix a problem? The problem is on a new computer that I just bought. TBN and some other sites only use part of the screen. They take up all of the screen top to bottom, but only 1/2 to 2/3 of the screen right to left. There are a lot of sites that do use the whole screen, but not TBN. Help!

Jerry, If I understand you correctly all you have to do is hit the maximize button in the upper right hand corner of your internet explorer window. I have attached a photo showing you the maximize button.

Spencer,
The explorer page is full size, the internet page is the small part. The maximize button doesn't change it. I guess you call it the internet page, it is just the TBN part not the browser.

Might you have your resolution cranked up ?

On my 21" monitor at work, I have it setup at 1800x ?? (forget) and the "base page" of most sites is let's say 3/4 size of the "fully expanded internet explorer page".

If so, it's just a function of the resolution YOU are using, verses the resolution the site was prepped for.

At least, IMHO.

Guess what I'm saying is, if you ask the local powers that be, what resolution they set the site up for, my guess is, YOU are using a HIGHER resolution, thereby giving you the added width on the right side that is essentially unused.

If you match your resolution to the sites, it would fit as they design it, OR, just crank your resolution up, shrink your windows a bit and have more windows open... you know, TBN for you, some fru fru site open for the wifey... this way, you can both surf simultaneously...

You DO have 2 mice?

Jerry, I attached another image for you to look at. I have my desktop computer's monitor set up at 1024 x 768. As you can see in the attached image TBN only uses about 3/4 the total width of the page. If that is the problem you are talking about then the only way to make the TBN page full width is to set your monitor resolution down to the 800 x 600 level. 800 x 600 is still the most common monitor setting out there and that is probably why TBN uses it instead of 1024 x 768 or higher.

Who maximizes their browser screens anyway? I have multiple screens open all the time with various window sizes, and resize the window if I am so inclined.

I am setup at 1280x1024.

Spencer,
That is exactly what I was talking about. I wish there was a way to change the setting like you talked about on only one site and not everything else. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif Oh,well I guess that I will have to live with it. Thanks
