I'm uploading pics all the time on dial up.. no problems.

only problems I get are when i try to link to pics on other servers.. I've yet to -ever- get one to work that way..

I tried to attach pictures to a post yesterday and failed. I used microsoft office picture manager to downsize the file, typed the file name in manage attachments, and clicked upload. It said uploading please wait, but you could tell it wasn't doing anything. I don't know why. thanks for any help.

Are you using a dial-up or high speed internet connection? I ask, because I use dial-up at home. A 100K picture sometimes takes me several minutes to upload. A larger image takes even longer. Nothing displays in the window while it is uploading to indicate any progress. How long are you waiting?

I have dial up.I got past the upload problem I dont know what I was doin wrong either. Then or now, I'm trying to follow Timber's advice with photobucket. I got to the part where I chose "the third one down that says 'IMG clickable thumbnails' ".I right clicked ,copy ,paste. It came up as cumputer lingo right in the middle of my post.

That right just click on it and it highlight the right click and hit copy now go to the body of your post and right click and post. It wil post the link were the curser is and when you sumit the post you will have your clicable thumb

This may not be the problem you are experiencing, but sometimes an image that is in several sub folders (in Photobucket) needs to be moved to the front page. It's like it loses the link to it when it's deep in several folders? I don't know.
