I have the SW MP 9mm and love the fit in my hand. I think that is pretty much the same size/form as your 40cal. I looked at the 9mm MP Shield for concealed carry but it just wasn't comfortable in my hands so I am still looking. I guess what I am saying is it really depends on your hand size whether what brand/type is best for you. Good luck and have fun checking out what's available.
