Would it be possible to puild a concrete pump hat ran off a trotors 540 RPM PTO?
What would be used for the pump?

Every concrete pump I have seen is a piston pump driven hydraulically
there is usually 2 pistons single acting with a "valve" that moves back and forth to change the piston from charge to discharge.
A progressive cavity pump would shred it self to death in short order.
Even the piston pumps have high wear issues on them.
How far do you have to move the concrete?
We have trucks available here with conveyor belts that go 40 or 50 ft from the cement truck.

Tell us more : What size (hp) tractor are you planning to use?? How far are you planning to pump the concrete?? How often are you going to use this unit?? Will you be using this for home/farm/contracting?? Have you used a concrete pump before??Would it be possible to puild a concrete pump hat ran off a trotors 540 RPM PTO?

I'll second that... If one just needed to get the concrete into the crawl space of a vacant house, I once saw it delivered with the shoot thru the 1st floor window.. Holes were cut in the floor in several spots and the concrete was wheeled there and dumped...After having had quite a few concrete jobs done around here lately, I'd say hire a guy with a pumper. Unless you have a lot of jobs you'll be using it on. With all the construction guys looking for work it might be less than you think.
