Concrete specifications for pole building

That is part of the reason right there.

We tore out a 4" rear patio slab last year that the previous owner poured over sand. No wire. Not only did it sound hollow but you could feel it moving under your feet. Prep, substrate, rebar, and enough concrete. Do it right know or redo it a little later.

I think you have a nice layout there, but why space the rebar so far apart? It really won't do much with that kind of spacing. I go max 2' square spacing.
Been doing that for decades and no call backs. In fact, one of my customers stores MACK 10 wheelers on a floor I poured for him that way over 15 years ago. 5" thick, rebar on 2' centers and no cracks! :)

The rebar is tying my posts, and slab to slab across the keylock while the re-mesh is doing the bulk of the reinforcement.

I felt the two in combination was a satisfactory mix for my needs.
